Mainak Bhattacharya talks about his 4 days trip to Bhutan with his 15 family members on the month of May. He had booked Bhutan family package from Kamakhya Bhutan and it included his hotel and transfer with all other necessities. He shares his amazing story with us.
Since the time we were kids, we had known about Bhutan as the “Land of Happiness” and were always curious about this mountainous Himalayan kingdom. So when we discussed the idea of traveling to Bhutan with our family everyone was very excited to go there.
The responsibility of booking the ideal package was completely upon me. So, I searched all the possible best packages and finally got one from the Kamakhya Bhutan with a reasonable price and within my budget. Although I had heard about this agency for the first time but on contacting them, I found them very friendly and helpful. Finally, it turned out to be the best Bhutan family tour packages website and I booked my 4 days short trip to Bhutan.
16th May 2018: Phuentsholing- The border town:
We reached NJP and boarded the car for Phuentsholing. The 3 hours journey from NJP to Phuentsholing was serene and we had a good view outside the window. We enjoyed the whole journey and reached Hotel Sinchula. Phuentsholing is a border town of Bhutan which is clean, less polluted with less noise. It was already evening when we reached our hotel. In the evening we roamed around in the markets of Phuentsholing and spent a lovely day. Overnight stay at the hotel.17th May 2018: Travel to Paro- Tiger’s Nest Monastery sightseeing:
We got up early morning and left for Paro. After getting our permits we headed for hiking in the Taktsang Monastery or popularly known as Tiger’s Nest Monastery. The hike up to the monastery was an hour journey. On the way, we saw prayer flags, restaurants serving foods and cafeterias. We took a break for half an hour as we had a long journey ahead. We had our breakfast in the cafeteria and left to reach the monastery. It was a beautiful monastery situated in the top of the hill and the view of nature was mesmerizing from the monastery. Overnight stay at the hotel.18th May 2018: Travel to Paro-Rinpung Dzong sightseeing:
From the monastery, we left for Rinpung Dzong which was another famous attraction of Paro. This Dzong ranks as the high point of Bhutanese architecture. It was formerly a meeting hall for the National Assembly. The great annual festival is celebrated in this fort but we were unlucky to experience the festival. The beauty of the monastery itself is charming to the eyes. After returning to the hotel, in the evening we roamed in the markets and enjoyed the calmness of the city. Overnight stay at the hotel19th May 2018- Travel to Thimphu and departure:
As we had to return back to our own town we left early morning from Phuentsholing to Buddha Dordenma Statue. The view of the 51 meters tall statue Of Buddha was mind-boggling and it has 125,000 gilded small statues of Buddha to make us appreciate each and every beauty of the temple and we clicked pictures too as a remembrance. The huge beautiful statue overlooked the Thimphu city and gave us a beautiful view of the capital. After such a lovely visit to Bhutan even though we were unable to explore the whole city, we left for our departure. On our way back, we again visited the meandering paths of Phuentsholing before being finally dropped to NJP to return back to our home. Bhutan turned out to be mesmerizing to all of us. The serenity, calmness, and the peaceful ambiance of the place were soothing to the soul. However, if given an opportunity, I would love to visit this beautiful country and its happy people again.A thankful review of Mainak Bhattacharya to Kamakhya Bhutan:

It was a wonderful experience and we are extremely thankful to him for his cooperation, help and hospitality. Each and every time we contacted him before/during our journey, he had responded us promptly. We wish Mr. VICKY & KAMAKHYA TOURS & TRAVELS best of luck for their future endeavors.
